CARO & DIEGO

An incredible country wedding, surrounded by nature and snowy peaks, this was Caro and Diego´s wedding. The venue for this wedding was Umbria Hotel Hacienda, a beautiful hacienda located in Machachi, about 1 hour away from Quito.  The ceremony was held in front of the most sweet stone chapel you will ever see, where family and friends gathered together to celebrate this day. As a surprise for his bride, Diego hired a Flamenco group to play during the ceremony, something they had always wanted.

 

As décor, Caro and Diego envisioned a rustic style with lots of natural elements. As color palette, we defined different hues of purple, from violet to lilac. We used pansy flowers in these hues mixed with jute as centerpieces, and small brass buckets filled with white astromelias. We also placed wooden charger plates and Nancy, Caro´s mother, created hand-made napkin holders for each guest, which added the personal touch every reception should have.

 

The catering for this wedding was a BBQ with lots of different salads, so it was a dynamic, fun time during lunch. For the party, we had live music, DJ, an open bar and we wrapped up the night with fireworks and paper lanterns filled with wishes for the newlyweds.
